J.
Michael Uszler, M.D.,
Is
the Medical Director of Nuclear Medicine
at Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center
and Assistant Clinical Professor of
Medical and Molecular Pharmacology
at UCLA. Dr. Uszler has been actively
involved in SPECT imaging of all body
areas for 20 years, with a particular
focus on the brain since 1992.
His expertise includes the developed
application of quantitative regional
brain imaging for comparison with
normal and abnormal databases, for
inter-study comparison of patients
being evaluated for both anatomic
and functional brain disorders, and
for the effects of any therapeutic
interventions as part of the healing
process.
Dr. Uszler's most recent emphasis
is on the BrainSPECT imaging in regards
to pediatric age brain disorders,
such as cerebral palsy and ADD/ADHD,
and in using that imaging modality
to follow the course of various therapies,
particularly Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
and Biofeedback Therapy.
